Ongole Bull:- Ongole is famous for the breed of bulls in that area, which have been exported to a number of countries. The Brahmana bull in America is an offshoot of the Ongole. The original breed of Ongole stud bulls are found in a small region around Ongole City between rivers Gundlakamma, and Musi.Short horned Ongole bulls resemble Nandi sculptures seen in temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Ongoles are phylogenetically related to the Tharparkar breed of North Western India and Sind area of Pakistan where the Indus Valley Civilization thrived approximately between 2600–1900 years BCE.
